Whats happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
The i Heart Radio is the biggest concert in Radio history. It's organised by Clear Channel who own more radio stations across America than they can count themselves. The concerts as you can imagine sold out within hours and tickets can only be found for mega bucks on Ebay. Why is this of interest to use here in the UA of E, well simple we are giving away tickets and cash for the gigs. Imagine flying to Vegas being handed the tickets, 5000 AED spending money to use at will. Lets face it there is no shortage of things to spend it on, black or red anyone? All this will happen next Sunday 15th September with the Winners jetting off a week later.
Clearyfy is an institution on Radio 2, every night at 7:20 Dave Cleary clears up lifes little questions.
Lets clear a few up on this blog.
Why do we say Raining Cats and Dogs?
Houses had thatched roofs back in the day which dogs and cats would sleep in to keep warm. When it rained they would slip off hence we say raining cats and dogs.
How far can a flea jump?
350 times its body length. It's like a human being able to jump the length of a football field.
Why do Greeks smash plates at weddings?
It's to show at a wedding that now expense is spared, so throwing plates makes the host seems like he is made of money.
Those are the facts you can take with you to use at a party during a quiet point in the conversation. You are sure to be a wow if you do.
Thats all for this week but be sure to check back soon as we have a bit of news about TV on the Radio soon.
